HoloLens MR Training

Our main focus at tsukat is to offer our clients the best possible solutions. To achieve this, we conduct rigorous internal testing to ensure the reliability and excellence of our products before they are released to our clients. As a result of our performance over the years, we are experimenting with showcasing the innovative features of HoloLens to our clients.

The tsukat team developed an MR Training Experience suited for the Hololens platform to clearly demonstrate the training and use of instructions on top of real machinery.

Throughout our experiment, we encountered various challenges, including:

• The limited field of view in Hololens, which differs from the immersive experience of VR.
• The adaptation of the experience to hand gestures instead of controllers, and the optimization of it for the headset.
• The optimization of the experience from VR headset to Hololens headset, considering the fact that it operates in mixed reality (MR) and functions more like augmented reality (AR).

During the project our team stepped up their endeavor to integrate the project into Mixed Reality Toolkit 3 (MRTK 3), which is a Unity plugin specifically designed for creating MR applications across different platforms, including the Hololens.

MRTK 3 is the latest version built on top of a highly versatile cross-platform Unity XR Foundation.

To ensure our team’s expertise and competence, our specialists first underwent a Microsoft certification program to become certified MRTK engineers. This additional certification process equipped them with extra skills to implement proper approaches to optimization, UI/UX design, user flow and user interaction.

Before the full launch of the application, our company also carried out an extremely wide range of testing work in order to guarantee the high stability and reliability of the application.

Consequently, we now offer our customers a quick way to adapt any mobile AR or VR application to Hololens and vice versa. We have successfully overcome potential issues by ensuring seamless integration and compatibility between these platforms.
