Körber Digital Academy

Digital Academy is an E-Learning platform that helps to create meaningful interactive training sessions for technicians that operate various types of highly complex industrial machinery, track their progress and improve their day-to-day efficiency.

The main idea for this project is to digitalize the training routines of the personnel, add interactivity and visual aspect to the knowledge base about the machinery, allow Körber clients easily access the platform from anywhere at any given time.

The project consists of several components, such as:

• Web Interface. The project is accessible via web browsers and is designed to work both with and without internet connectivity
• Interactive WebGL. Here the users can utilize and interact with animated 3D representations of the machinery components and have a better understanding of processes of a particular topic
• Admin Backend. The admin panel provides several levels of customization to each particular web component of the system. Admins can create and configure each topic and lessons within the topics, manage users and groups which have access to specific functions of the platform

We’ve been successfully using traditional scrum methodology in this project, with having a meaningful understanding of all the metrics of team performance, quality of the work we are doing as well as the performance of the product itself.

We continue developing new features of the platform, constantly working on improvements based on the user’s feedback. The platform itself has proven its effectiveness with both internal and external use cases.
