Körber KDF2 VR Training
Together with our long-lasting partners from Körber, we’ve created an incredible VR training prototype, taking virtual learning and simulations one step further. People can join a shared online multiplayer session worldwide through various mediums like PC VR headsets, mobile devices, and/or browsers. The project’s primary goal is to teach the trainee a complex procedure for operating specific industrial machinery.
In this case, the scenario is a starting and production calibrating procedure of the KDF2 machine. The student is guided by text prompts as well as by the voice assistance of the trainer.
The project was created in Unity using Photon Networking technology for multiplayer features.
All the 3D assets were created from scratch using only photo references.
Developed for Oculus and HTC Vive headsets with the aim of being ported to Pico, Quest2, Vive Focus and other mobile VR headsets in the next phases of development.
VR training is proven to be at least 40% more effective than traditional training procedures due to its increased immersivity and involving muscle memory.
