Pinsel VR Museum Experience

Pinsel VR is a project dedicated to telling a story about a famous baroque artist, sculptor Johann Georg Pinsel. This project showcases several detailed 3D scanned sculptures together with the scanned church in Hodowica, where originally some of those sculptures were showcased.

As a user, you can freely teleport inside and outside of the church, see the comparison of old interior photos of the church and the current state of the church as well get detailed text and audio narration about each of the sculptures.

After many tests with the users, we’ve implemented Oculus Quest hand tracking which has proven to be the most convenient and natural way of interaction in VR for inexperienced users. This project is a good example of historical preservation through the use of innovations such as VR.

Made for our good friends at Pinsel AR. They are doing a great job in scanning and preserving historical heritage in digital format.
